Occupy Skid Row Music Festival @ DTLA

Dubbed as both the Operation Skid Row Music Festival and the Occupy Skid Row Music Festival, on January 15th Chuck D and Public Enemy, along with a dozen or more (mostly old school Los Angeles) hip-hop acts will put on a FREE concert for the down-on-their-luck residents of Los Angeles’ desolate Skid Row district.
The list of performers for this incredible all afternoon event, that will also be open for FREE to anyone from anywhere who wishes to attend, includes Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Freestyle Fellowship, YO YO, Nipsy Hustle, XClan, Kurupt from The Dogg Pound, Mellow Man Ace and The ZZYZZX, King T, Rapper’s Rapp Group, Sir Jinx and General Population, Stliztik Jonz, JAHI, Arise Roots, The Real McCoy, Skid Row Flowing, Drummers, Joses Song, Linda Harris, Big Mack, OG Kid Frost, L.A. Posse, and the Egyptian Lover.
“Occupy Skid Row” has been put together by Skid Row activist General Jeff and Chuck D going down on Sunday, Jan. 15 on Skid Row in Downtown Los Angeles from 1:00-5:30pm. The concert is to bring awareness to homelessness in Los Angeles and all over the United States. The event is slated to be held off of East 5th Street and Gladys Avenue. Come out this weekend and support the effort when Hip Hop steps up to Occupy Skid Row!
